Instead of a detailed cumulative report, most parents instead will be receiving one of a couple other scaled-down documents. One document may just state what grade the student will be attending in the fall, while the other may also include template-based comments. A lot is still yet to be determined for many Ontario school boards.
The information included in these potential documents, while valuable, are only small pieces of the puzzle in terms of helping students improve and prepare for their upcoming school years. Context in areas of strength and weakness, and notes on communication and writing skills are needed to truly help a student grow and excel in their school work. It now looks like parents will have to look outside of the public school system to find this necessary information.
To help ease any uncertainty for both parents and students, Oxford Learning® is proud to offer free Dynamic Learning Assessments* for any Ontario student affected by this public education situation – for a limited time only. We’ll provide a full-scale analysis of a student’s learning skills, weaknesses and other areas of potential – all achieved through a fun and engaging assessment. All of this information is what we believe a parent needs to help their child grow and succeed.
*Offer limited to participating locations. Offer only available to those who have not been previously enrolled at Oxford Learning®. Cannot be combined with any other promotional offers. Fee waived upon enrolment.
