View All Available JobsOxford Learning Center is a professional learning center. My daughter was behind her grade level in reading and writing skills. We knew this heading to Oxford Learning. Meggie, the owner of this location of Oxford Learning, described clearly their methodology. First they tested our challenged daughter thoroughly in a variety of ways and competencies. Meggie shared the test results and together with one of the teaching professionals put a plan together to bring our daughter back to grade level and hopefully beyond. This process began in October 2018. Since that time our daughter has progressed well within the Oxford Learning program with regular formal and informal progress reports and feedback. I am thrilled to report our daughter enjoys regular school more than ever and has achieved the best grade scores of her young academic career. I have enrolled our son for extra help with his high school math. We have had a great experience with Oxford Learning and Meggie.
My son goes to Oxford Learning Hamilton. He is excited about his online sessions and is doing well in his school now. We have noticed that he has grown in his confidence. He loves his workbooks and shows us what he does after every session. The teachers are great and the management team communicates with us regularly.
Oxford Learning saved my daughter's senior year. When COVID-19 hit, she was really stressed. We were happy to learn that Oxford Learning Hamilton had online classes for Grade 12 math and biology. Hi Meggi, I just wanted to thank you and Kevin's teacher. I know you didn't have sample tests, but you were able to help Kevin understand a little more about the English Literacy Test. He feels much more confident now. Having confidence is huge. You have made an incredible change in Kevin. He is much more confident this year and always wants to do things by himself. BIG CHANGE! In September of 2014, I contacted Oxford Learning to inquire about reading assistance for my 6-yr-old. At home she showed an enthusiasm for books and a willingness to try to read, but lacked the expected skill level & confidence required by the school. We seemed to be progressing at a snails' pace and frustrations were running high. My daughter has always progressed at her own pace and I was sensing that the constant pressure and high expectation surrounding her would quickly deter her from the enjoyment of learning. I was also hesitant to seek outside assistance being a young family on a tight budget. I was immediately impressed by the professionalism I received & was reassured that they were willing to work with me to establish a suitable payment schedule. It was such a huge relief that they understood my concerns. After the initial assessment, a custom tailored learning plan was developed & results were already being noticed after a few sessions. The way my daughter flourished in a short amount of time from a minimal reading level to a 3-4 reading level under the gentle guidance, caring & generosity that was extended to her through her teachers was remarkable. She absolutely adores the staff she has worked with thus far & Meggi's sweet nature most of all. I am eternally grateful for all of their dedication and commend them on a job well done! My daughter was really struggling with Grade 12 math and physics so we decided to enrol her at Oxford Learning after meeting with Meggi and seeing her centre. We liked the small group sessions and the individual attention that my daughter received from her tutor. We could see an improvement after her first test and her confidence go up almost immediately. She now attends McMaster University and we could not have been more proud of her. Thank you Oxford Learning and to Meggi for everything you have done. We are forever grateful.
My daughter has had the hardest time grasping math. She has even had a teacher in her past give up and ask her to go read during math time. Oxford Learning Hamilton's management team have done an amazing job pin pointing my daughters strengths and weaknesses with their assessment system. By using her strengths, the teaching staff in just a few months has turned my daughter in the right direction towards success. But the truth is, it has been just as gratifying for me seeing my daughter inspired again and filled with confidence, laughing and interacting with the other children and her new-found self esteem which makes her glow. As difficult as it can be affording the extra cost at times, it never crosses my mind to pull her out of Oxford Learning. Because she was so defeated before attending Oxford Learning, it devastated me that nothing was helping her grasp mathematics. Now, my daughter Rebecca, is that girl that makes the room warm again when she smiles or laughs and has the confidence to take on each day without fear of being sent to read in a corner while the other children do their math. She is the little girl that has always made me proud, its just now, she has found her sense of pride. That moment is worth every penny. Oxford Learning is the best place for your child, not only does it help improve grades, but it also helps build their self-esteem and confidence. My son had been going to Oxford Learning for over 1 year now and we love it. I cannot say enough good things about Oxford Learning Hamilton. Oxford Learning Hamilton is under new management and they are doing a wonderful job. When I met with the owner, she was very pleasant and understanding. She gave me a tour of the centre, which looks great and even introduced me to her teachers. When my son came in for his assessment, he was very nervous and anxious because he did not know what to expect. Meggi (the owner) made him feel comfortable. My son even said that he enjoyed the assessment and loved working with Meggi. She was able to pinpoint the problems my son had in school and why he had those problems. She had customized a program to help him improve and showed me everything he’d be working on. I was impressed with how organized and detailed she was. My son has been going to Oxford Learning Hamilton for over a month now and he has enjoyed every minute of it. He loves working with the teachers and with Meggi. I can already see a big improvement with his reading comprehension and his confidence. Enrolling my son at Oxford Learning Hamilton was one of the best decisions I have made for him. I absolutely love tutoring thanks to the staff here!! My grades have improved so much and everyone there is so nice. Even throughout this COVID situation, they provide online tutoring sessions which have made online learning less stressful and much easier!

My daughter was struggling with her reading and writing in October, 2015. I signed her up with Oxford Learning Hamilton and since she has started, she has gone up 5 levels in her reading. She now enjoys going to Oxford Learning and learning how to read and write. Her teachers are great and they put effort and time into their students who all learn at different paces. The teachers have also built up my daughter’s confidence, as she was always scared to get the answers wrong. Since Meggi (new management) has taken over, the place looks incredible. She is extremely friendly and caring. She has also made the environment more encouraging for the kids to learn! Oxford Learning is truly amazing and extremely helpful to anyone who needs help.
Oxford Learning is very helpful. This is my second year coming here and I feel I am more confident in my work. I am stronger now in many subjects. Last year I was failing chemistry. I came to Oxford Learning and immediately improved scoring 95% on my next test and finishing the course with an 85%. Oxford Learning has also helped me with French. I now better understand the different parts of speech and how to apply them to my written work. This year I am attending Oxford Learning for assistance in Advanced Functions and Biology and am happy to say that I'm doing well in both classes. What I have most enjoyed about Oxford Learning is the friendly environment, the amount of attention I receive and the improvement I see in my marks and understanding of the subject matter. I've been taking my daughter there for two years, and we absolutely love it! It really helped my daughter with her struggles in math; it's such an amazing company. Meggi is amazing! Since attending Oxford Learning over the summer, my daughter has more confidence in her reading ability. She loves all her teachers there and always look forward to going. Everyone at Oxford Learning is very nice and good with the kids. The owner (Meggi) makes the place fun and very welcoming. Anytime when we needed the schedule change, Meggie would reschedule for us without asking any questions. There were a few times when I was late in picking up my daughter and they took good care of her until I arrived. Thank you so much for that. As a result of my daughter's improvement, I have decided to continue and see how far she can reach.
